§ How it works

Less overhead. More writing.

  1. 01

    Apply and onboard.

Pitch your idea. Every founding-cohort author gets a call, hands-on Ink onboarding, and direct access to the team.

  2. 02

    Write, validate, ship.

Draft in our Ink-aware editor. The validator catches structural problems before they reach a reader. Schedule, paywall, or release free — your call, your cadence.

  3. 03

    Build the relationship.

Email subscribers between chapters. Surface previews so readers can sample before they pay. Cover art, audio embeds, and asset hosting included — bring what you have, we fill the gaps.

§ FAQ

Honest answers to the obvious questions.

Can I publish plain fiction?

Yes. The Ink editor is optional. Prose-only writers get the same publication ownership, email infrastructure, and revenue model — they just skip the gamebook tooling.

Is it hard to learn Ink?

Four basic concepts: knots, choices, diverts, variables. The syntax is small enough to learn in a weekend if you've shipped anything in Twine or ChoiceScript. Once you have it, the medium opens up — branching, state, conditional scenes, the things prose-only platforms can't do.

What does it cost?

Free to share and read stories. Authors pay $39 a year to enable ecommerce — that's the flat platform fee, never a percentage. Reader checkout opens a paywall and an optional tip jar after the first chapter, and you keep 100% of every sale.

What about my existing audience?

Import your email list and send invitations from your publication on day one. The readers you've earned come with you.

We're recruiting five authors already shipping serialized fiction but want a platform that elevates the medium and the gamebook maker.

If that's you, pitch us. Founding cohort means you talk to a human, get hands-on onboarding, and shape what we build. We'll be opening more cohorts later this year.
